This policy explains what information Vantage Business Consulting collects on vbuscon.com, how we use it, and the choices you have, including how to stop our emails.
Who we are
Vantage Business Consulting is a consulting firm based in Phoenix, Arizona. This policy covers vbuscon.com, our free tools and our Playbook articles. You can reach us at Carlton.Hawkins@vbuscon.com or (602) 345-1522.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form. If you send us a message on the homepage, we receive your name, email address and message.
- Free tools and worksheets. If you request a worksheet, planner or audit, we collect your email address (and any other details the sign-up form asks for) so we can open the download, email you a copy, and send you related notes.
- Launch Readiness Scorecard. When you complete our scorecard, we collect your first name, email address, brand name, your answers about your brand’s stage, primary sales channel, revenue range and launch timing, and your overall score and result band. Your individual question answers are scored in your browser and are not stored. We use this information to send you emails related to your results and occasional updates from Vantage Business Consulting. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- Booking a call. If you book a call through our scheduling page, our scheduling provider collects your name, email address and anything you add to the booking.
- Email and calls. If you email or call us, we keep the details you share so we can respond.
Information collected automatically
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use our site. A Google Analytics tracking tag (a small script, sometimes called a pixel) runs on our pages and collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the page or site that referred you, your device, browser and operating system, and your approximate location. It uses cookies and similar identifiers to recognize a browser across visits.
We also set up Google Analytics triggers, which record specific actions as events. These include clicks on our "book a call" buttons, worksheet downloads, clicks on free tool and lead magnet links, clicks on Related Articles and "More from After Hours" links, and clicks to our Google Business Profile and review links. Events tell us which content and calls to action are working. They do not tell us who you are by name.
Our site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google to fetch them, and our hosting provider keeps standard server logs.
What we do not collect
We do not use advertising or retargeting pixels on this site, such as Meta (Facebook), LinkedIn, TikTok or Google Ads pixels. If we add any, we will update this policy first. The Operator Leadership Style Scorecard runs in your browser and does not send your answers to us.
How we use information
- To reply to your messages and run the calls you book.
- To deliver the tools you request and send you the notes you signed up for.
- To understand how the site is used and improve our content and tools.
- To keep the site secure and working.
Our emails and how to opt out
If you sign up for a free tool, we send you the download and occasional notes on the same topic from Carlton Hawkins. We do not sell or share your email address.
You can opt out at any time. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and using it removes you from that list. You can also email Carlton.Hawkins@vbuscon.com and ask us to remove you, and we will do so promptly. After you unsubscribe, we may still reply to messages you send us directly.
Our email platform may record whether our emails are opened and which links are clicked, so we can see which notes are useful.
Cookies, Google Analytics and your choices
You can limit tracking in several ways. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also use browser features such as Global Privacy Control or tracking protection. Blocking cookies will not stop you from reading our site.

How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires. You can ask us to delete the information we hold about you at any time.
Your choices and rights

Children
Our site and services are for business owners and professionals. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. No website or email service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
